Two Fajita Recipes That Everyone Would Love

A Fajita is a kind of Mexican dish which is made up of any grilled meat that is usually cut into strips, and then wrapped in a corn or flour tortilla (a type of thin round bread). Enchiladas, Burritos, Quesadillas and, Tacos are some examples of the commonly known Fajitas.

The following are two fajita recipes that you would love.

Fajita Quesadillas


Two tablespoons of oil

One onion, sliced

Salt to taste

Four flour tortillas

1 pound cooked steak, sliced into ¼ inch-thick pieces

½ green bell pepper, sliced

1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend


  1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat; add the onion and green bell pepper and cook for 3-5 minutes until the onions are soft. Sprinkle with salt, stir and transfer it to a bowl.
  2. Brush one side of each tortilla with oil. Place one tortilla, oil side down in the same skillet you used for the meat, sprinkle with ½ the steak, ½ the onion mixture and ½ the Mexican cheese. Place the second tortilla, oil side up, on to the cheese layer. Press down to seal.
  3. Cook the quesadilla over medium heat until both sides of tortillas become browned. Remove from skillet and cut. Repeat with a second and third tortilla using the remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve while hot.


Seitan Fajitas


Three tablespoons of olive oil

One red bell pepper, sliced

One green bell pepper, sliced

½ red onion, chopped

1 pound seitan, cut into strips

Two tablespoons of soy sauce

Three cloves of garlic, minced

One teaspoon paprika

One teaspoon chili powder

Six whole grain tortillas

One teaspoon ground cumin



  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir the bell pepper and onions until soft. Add the seitan, soy sauce, garlic, chili powder, paprika, and cumin. Cook and stir for 10 minutes.
  2. Serve the seitan filling into each tortilla and fold them around the filling.
  3. It is ready to eat. Serve while hot.


Fajitas can be served along with taco sauce, Tofutti (better than sour cream) and guacamole.
