Consume 10 Grams of Nuts Everyday For Longer Life
According to a study, peanuts can be used to enhance your lifespan. There is a strong link between the intake of peanuts and nuts and low mortality rates. It has been found that men and women who have 10 grams of peanuts or nuts everyday lower their risks of dying. According to Professor Piet of Maastricht University, Netherland; the effects of consumption of nuts are equal in both men and women. It has also been found that the peanut butter has no connection with the mortality rates as the actual peanuts. This study has been in process since 1986 and was studied by taking the results of about 1,20,000 people who were in the age group of 55 – 69 years.
The consumption of nuts was assessed by enquiring the how many nuts they consumed and it was taken at what intervals. The researchers then used this information to analyse the relationship of its consumption with the mortality rates ever since 1986. It was found that the consumption of nuts or peanuts could reduce occurrence of cardiovascular diseases in people. The results of the study were issued in the International Journal of Epidemiology. The death of people due to diseases like cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative and respiratory diseases were low among all the peanuts and nuts consumers. It was also found that higher intake of nuts was not associated with the low mortality rates. The compounds such as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, fibres, antioxidants and other bioactive compounds were found in peanuts to lower the death rates.
